Who builds this
We came from audit defense and billing, not from a generic EHR.
Why we built Unisona Health →One platform
Intake, clinical, billing, and workforce — without four vendors and three logins.
Everything below runs on the same patient record, the same permissions, and the same audit log.

Level of care
A 40-bed detox and a two-clinician practice don't need the same software — or the same invoice.

Behavioral health & substance use treatment
Administrative time. Vendor subscriptions. Leaked revenue. Care that costs more than it needed to. Unisona Health is one system built to lower all four — intake, clinical, billing, and staffing on one record.
14 days free. No credit card. One login, one invoice, and pricing published on this page.
The same four data sets your programs already generate — read together instead of separately.
One platform, four layers
A 40-bed facility running an EHR, a separate admissions CRM, a billing service, and a payroll system is paying four vendors to disagree about the same patient.
Turn a website visitor into an admitted patient without rekeying anything.
Build your own note types. Keep the ones your accreditor expects.
The claim is created by the appointment, not by someone re-typing it on Friday.
Credentials, payroll, and training in the same system that assigns the caseload.
Revenue leakage
An expired authorization nobody caught. A claim with a bad date of service. A week of posting remittances by hand. Unisona Health puts the check where the mistake happens, not in a report you read next month.
At scheduling
Units, dollars, and visits remaining appear while you're booking the appointment — before the session happens, not after the denial.
Before submission
Validation runs before the claim goes out and highlights the exact box that will get it kicked back — with the reason, in plain language.
After payment
Read the ERA, match the lines, post the payments, route what didn't match to the denials queue. A week of manual posting becomes a coffee break.
After the money arrives
A payer can take back money it already paid if the documentation doesn't support the claim. Most programs lose that argument on paperwork, not on care — the records exist, but nobody can produce them in the format and the timeframe the payer asked for.
Outcomes
Assessments go out before and after the session, score themselves, and trend against the patient's baseline. Then they roll up into the thing you bring to a payer when your contract is up.
PHQ-9 · episode of care
Baseline 19 → Latest 7
Twenty-four standardized assessments is table stakes. Packaging them as evidence — for a rate negotiation, or for an audit response — is not.
Baseline versus latest, per patient and per program. Exportable as a payer-facing summary, or attachable to the audit packet that proves the care was medically necessary and that it worked.

Nearly every platform in this category makes you sit through a sales call before you find out what you’d pay. Ours is published, and it scales down as your team grows rather than up.
For individual practitioners getting started.

Free trial
Create your workspace and get 14 days on the full platform — intake, clinical documentation, billing, and operations, with unlimited patients. No credit card to start, and no sales call to get in. We email you 3 days and 1 day before the trial ends; add a card then to keep your workspace and carry on where you left off.
Nothing is charged during the trial. If you don't add a card, access pauses — your data stays where it is.
Seat rates
Every plan
Never charged per chart, per claim, or per note. Census and caseload growth don’t change your invoice.
Discounted seat
Supervised interns and practicum students get full clinical access at a training rate.
Discounted seat
Front desk, intake coordinators, schedulers, and operations staff who don’t chart.
Discounted seat
Billers and RCM staff working claims, remittances, denials, and patient balances.

I love UNISONA. Best EHR ever.
Excellent. I've worked with many databases in my 20+ years in the field and this is the best of all.

Unisona is truly a five star EHR. Onboarding is a breeze. Staff found the system easy to transition to. Recommend it to anyone struggling with their early generation EHR.

Questions
Unisona Health is a behavioral health EHR and practice management platform for addiction treatment and mental health programs: residential and detox, PHP/IOP, MAT/OTP, sober living, CCBHC and multi-site organizations, and outpatient practices. Intake, clinical documentation, revenue cycle, compliance and workforce management run on one patient record.
A separate EHR, admissions CRM, clearinghouse portal, outcomes tool, payroll and training LMS, and the census spreadsheet. Intake, clinical documentation, billing and staffing run on one record, with one login and one invoice.
Pricing is published: $90 per seat a month for Solo, $85 to $75 per seat for Group Practice as the team grows, and $70 per clinical seat for qualifying nonprofits. Admin and billing seats are $60 and student interns $25. Patients are unlimited, plans are monthly, and there is no implementation fee on Solo or Group Practice.
Yes. Every new workspace starts with a 14-day free trial of the whole platform — intake, clinical documentation, billing and operations, with unlimited patients. You sign up directly, with no credit card and no sales call. When the 14 days are up, a clinic administrator adds a card to keep the workspace; nothing is charged before then, and if no card is added, access pauses rather than the data being deleted.
Implementation takes four weeks of configuration, data migration and parallel running, with your programs operating normally throughout. Active patients, coverage, treatment plans, open claims, census and staff credentials migrate as standard.
Yes. HIPAA safeguards are in place and a Business Associate Agreement is signed before any PHI is loaded. Substance use disorder records get consent-scoped disclosure controls under 42 CFR Part 2. A SOC 2 Type II audit is engaged but not yet complete.
